A guide to Summit Skills

Summit Skills is the Sector Skills Council for the building services engineering (BSE) sector. The sector comprises the electro technical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration and plumbing industries. The organisation has been created by employers, for employers, to address six key objectives:

  • Employer engagement
  • Offering expertise, safeguarding standards
  • Enhancing quality and delivery
  • Raising ambition
  • Effectiveness and evolution
  • Partnership approach

SummitSkills works in partnership with BSE employers, stakeholders and key partners across the UK to provide a co-ordinated approach to the issues that affect them. This employer-led approach gives businesses in the sector a key role in increasing their own and the UK’s productivity and profitability.
